Ron DeSantis' campaign is announcing the completion of a longtime campaign pledge Saturday: touring all of Iowa's 99 counties, a milestone for a campaign that has devoted significant resources to the first-in-the-nation contest. On paper, DeSantis has made significant strides in running a traditionally successful Iowa campaign, racking up influential endorsements and dedicating significant time, personnel and financial resources to the state. And while the DeSantis campaign, with significant super PAC help, has stayed focused on Iowa, it remains unclear just what the traditional Iowa playbook counts for in this unusual modern campaign against Trump. "Winning an Iowa caucus requires a strong combination of outworking and out-organizing the competition and that's been the Ron DeSantis model. Inside the sprint to the caucusesStill, the DeSantis playbook in Iowa hardly stops at the "Full Grassley."

The boy celebrated his sixth birthday just weeks ago, CAIR's Rehab told a press conference on Sunday. CNN —Louise Glück, the former US Poet Laureate and 2020 Nobel Prize awardee whose deceptively simple poems revealed visceral truths about love, loss and survival, has died at 80. “Louise Glück’s poetry gives voice to our untrusting but unstillable need for knowledge and connection in an often unreliable world. She was often praised as an accessible writer, whose work “makes individual existence universal,” per the Nobel Prize committee that honored her. Though it wasn’t published in itself, lines she wrote in her teens have appeared, “reconstituted slightly,” in her later works, Glück’s Nobel biography also noted. Glück’s poems speak directly to her readers as active participants.

REUTERS/Jonathan ErnstWASHINGTON, March 8 (Reuters) - U.S. President Joe Biden's fiscal 2024 budget plan would boost federal funding for childcare and early childhood education by billions of dollars, ensuring free preschool for all of the country's 4 million 4-year-olds, the White House said. The White House argues that lack of access to affordable childcare is a key factor depressing women's participation in the workforce. One recent poll showed that 55% of households experience difficulty finding childcare, with 21% citing challenges related specifically to cost, the White House said. It drops Biden's previous request to fund universal preschool for 3-year-olds, choosing a more targeted approach this year, a White House official said. The White House is betting that childcare programs, which are very popular with the public, could help boost Biden's approval ratings.
